The Florida chapters have been working
hard
getting ready for the Kiwi convention. The Florida Suncoast Chapter is the overall
Host Chapter, with the other chapters each hosting an event or taking on a
responsibility: the Southwest Florida, Gulf Coast, and Central Florida
Chapters.
A welcoming optional cocktail party is
scheduled for early arrivals. They have named it the “Green Flash” because,
as many of you may know, it is an evening ritual on the Gulf of Mexico
beaches for people to gather and watch carefully for the green flash that
sometimes appears
when the sun sets to the west over the Gulf. You can’t blink or you might
miss it.
The Opening Luncheon has a “Pirates in
Paradise” theme, and you’re welcome to come “dressed” for the occasion if
you dare. The closing Banquet invites you to a “Sunset Soiree” with an
elegance that you can imagine. Bring colorful tropical chic attire for that
dinner.
And, of course, there are the Optional
Events, to which your guests may attend. This convention is offering not one, not two, but three Optional
Events. The first, of course, is the above-mentioned cocktail party, the
second is a sunset dinner cruise on a paddlewheel riverboat, and the third
is a tour of the famous Dali Museum. Take your pick – or choose all three.
As you can see, the FL chapters are going
all out to help us celebrate our 60th anniversary as an organization and our
30th convention.
We hope you will be among us.

sales, or chapter raffles will be allowed.
Individuals selling items in the Boutique must attach a check in the amount
of $50 to the form.
Please indicate on the form that you are not a chapter, but an individual
renting a table.
