E:\KC0103.jpgA Word from your President….Ginny Day McKillop

Dear Kiwis,

The New Year is upon us, and your National Board is busy finalizing plans for the 60th Anniversary of The Kiwi Club. We just returned from the convention site hotel, TradeWinds Resort, St. Pete Beach, Florida. The entire board was extremely pleased with the hotel rooms, hotel staff, and restaurants – there are seven places to eat at the Resort, including a deli/country store should you wish pick up a sandwich (freshly made) or a breakfast roll and coffee, and even an ice cream shop. We managed to eat in three of the restaurants (the food was delicious) and made use of Awakenings, the lobby bar, a gathering place. Everyone we encountered in the hotel was friendly and helpful. Plan to bring your families – the hotel has a fantastic program for children, and the area is filled with wonderful tourist attractions for everyone.  This is the first ever convention held in Florida, and we are anxious for you to come and have a good time.

Please send in your Convention Registration Form and Banquet Seating Form on time. The Registration deadline is March 19, 2012, so you see there isn’t much time left, and it will pass quickly. I’m assuming that you have already made your hotel reservations; if not, please contact the hotel and make them now.

I hope to see all of you on St. Pete Beach in May!

Ginny

P. S. Go to the Convention page to read all about the plans for Kiwi fun-in-the-sun at St. Pete Beach, Florida. Look for information and PHOTOS OF THE TRADE WINDS RESORT on the website as well as in the last edition of the Kiwi Kaleidoscope. Your Convention Packet has been sent, and it contains your forms, and lots of information.

THE KIWI CLUB

The Kiwi Club – an organization for former and current American Airlines Flight Attendants, including those from airlines purchased by or merged with American – invites you to join us.
We offer two types of membership: chapter and member at large. If you live in an area where there is a chapter, you would be welcomed and could immediately enjoy the camaraderie, fun, new friends, and events.
If you live outside a chapter area, or would prefer not joining a chapter, you may become a member at large. Although you would receive the full benefit of the club by belonging to a chapter, member-at-large status is also desirable with many benefits.

Contact us to join or for more information.
