>Evagean (Jean) Madison Brown Madoche, class of 1951, passed away on January 23rd, 2012 in Deland, FL.  Jean flew out of Chicago in 1952.  Uncertain of Kiwi Chapter.

>Virginia Ellis Taylor, age 89, passed away on December 16, 2011.  "Jini" was the founding President of the Memphis Chapter, then known as the 'King Cotton Chapter', and remained a very active member for more than 55 years, often hosting elaborate Christmas and spring parties for Kiwis and their spouses. Jini also hosted summer get-togethers for Memphis members at her beautiful and spacious beach home in Florida.  She was a much-loved and loyal friend who is sadly missed.

>Dee Garesche Merian, a member of the Lowcountry Kiwi chapter, passed away on December 29, 2011.  Dee flew for TWA and was in the class 1952.  She was an accomplished author and will be missed by her Kiwi sisters.

>Marjorie Helvey Harris died on November 21, 2011. She was a member of Central Arkansas Chapter. 
Her class was March,1946.  Marjorie was 94 at the time of death.

>Jean Charpier Mosow, former member of the Memphis Kiwi Club, passed away at the age of 94 on November 5, 2011, from congestive heart failure.  She was in the Class of 1938,  and would have celebrated her 95th birthday on December 16, 201l.  Some may remember that she was honored at the Houston and Philadelphia conventions as the oldest Kiwi in attendance.

>Ruth Stewart Hogue, a resident of Irving, TX, for the past 36 years, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2011.  She was born July 8, 1928 to Paul and Margaret (Mueller) Stewart in Lincoln, NE.  Ruth attended the University of Nebraska and was a member of Alpha Phi sorority.  Ruth was a flight attendant for American Airlines for many years.  She was a flight attendant when ladies could not be married, or over the age of 30, and must be attractive.  She retired in 1983 after 18 years, from the customer service department.  She was also a member of The Kiwi Club.  The family has requested memorials to the American Cancer Society.

>Joyce Winslow, a long time Dallas Kiwi has flown west.  She passed away on November 2, 2011.  Services will be Sunday November 6,  at 2:00 pm at the Lovers Lane United Methodist church, in the Shipp Chapel.  See her *obituary below, which appeared in the Dallas Morning News Friday, November 4.  Joyce struggled long and hard - she will be missed.

>Anne Doherty Henderson was in the class of 67/10.   Her date of death was 10/19/11.  Anne was a member of the Washington, DC chapter.

>Geraldine "Jeri" Strahan Suess, class of 1951, has 'flown west.'  She was a member of the Tulsa Chapter.

>Bess Duddleston Grimes, Dallas Kiwi, passed away September 28.  The obituary was in Sunday's Dallas Morning News.  There will be a memorial service will be on Friday, October 7 at 11:00 am at St Matthias Church, 3460 Forest Lane, Dallas, TX.

>Ailene Hyde Blankenship Blunk  passed away 9/21/11. She was a 1949 graduate and a member of the San Francisco, San Antonio and Houston chapters.  Her husband of 28 years, Bill Blunk, passed away 9/1/11.

>Marie Ward Stocking passed away on December 10, 2010.  She was National President from 1958 to 1960.  Marie graduated in 1940 and was a MAL.

>Fran Webster Mantooth, class of 1947, died on August 18, 2011.  She was a member of the Washington, D.C. Chapter.  Fran was 84 years old and had fought a battle with lung cancer.  There will be a Viewing at the Jefferson Funeral Chapel  on Saturday, August 27 at 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.  The address is  5755 Castlewellan Drive, Alexandria,  VA  22315.  Phone number:  703-971-7400.  The Interment will be on Friday, October 14 at 3:00 pm at the Arlington Cemetery, where her husband, Bill, is buried.

>Dorothy McHugh Sullivan Bower,  AA Class of 1940, was a National Secretary from 1982-84.  Her memorial service will be held in MN, and in the fall Dottie will be placed to rest in Arlington Cemetery.  Condolences can be sent to:

Dottie was a very classy lady and will be missed.

>Joy Gallimore Wilson passed away in August, 2011.  She graduated in the AA Class of 1945.

>Barbara Lantz Hughes, AA Class of 1960 and President of the Columbus Kiwi Chapter, lost her courageous fight with lung cancer on Saturday, July 16.  Arrangements to be announced.  Keep her husband, Doug, and son, Drexel, in your thoughts and prayers.

>Elizabeth Frances Kelly Colaizzo, a MAL,  passed away on May 10, 2011.  She was in the class of 52, flew out of LGA and became a Member-at-Large.  The arrangements were private and a memorial service is scheduled for her 80th birthday on 11-11-11.

>Elizabeth 'Betty' Kohl Marsh, an Oklahoma City Kiwi, passed away on June 11, 2011.  She graduated with the class of 1957.

>Genevieve Sidwell Klyce, class of 1945, a founding member of the Dayton Chapter and very active there until she moved.  Her original chapter was Memphis.

>Salli Reid Lennon Garrick, class 1954 and member of the Manhattan Chapter, passed away on May 5, 2011.

>Elizabeth (Betty) Lou Gruber Kleiman, passed away on April 29, 2011.  She was in the Class of 1956 and was an active and beloved member of the DFW Kiwi Chapter. 

>Yvonne Hanavan Jackman, AA class of 1948 and an early and very active member of the LA Kiwis beginning in the 50’s and holding office many times.  She attended all the conventions up until the last few years. The family retired to Arizona in the mid-1990’s, but made frequent trips back to Southern California, and Yvonne attended some Kiwi functions. She became a MAL after living in AZ for a few years.  Even though a Member at Large, she still considered herself an LA Kiwi. She will be sadly missed.

>Margaret Claire Deck,  passed away on March 19, 2011.  She was in the graduating class of '57/2. 

>Patricia (Patt) Keup Carroll DeGouff (Class of '52-11) a Fl Gulf Coast Kiwi, 'flew west' on Saturday, March 19, 2011.  She died of late stage Parkinson's disease. Her home was Sun City Center, Florida.  Patt had been an active chapter Kiwi for many years.

Winslow, Joyce Alice,  born August 24, 1930 passed peacefully Tuesday November 2. She is preceded in death by her daughter Serena Winslow. She is survived by daughters Tanis Deisinger and husband Mark of Honey Brook, PA, Devona Mayeur and husband JP and grandchildren Taylor and Kyra of Allen, Texas along with many nieces and nephews throughout Canada and her pride and joy - her Bijon Honey Brook. Services to be held Sunday November 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church - Shipp Chapel. In Lieu of flower please make any donations to the American Lung Association.
