Our National President, Stephanie McCauley Butler, introduced the National Officer candidates for the next term: 2024-26, and presented awards to Chapters and individuals. To see this years award recipients go the the Awards page in this section.
After lunch, Stephanie presented our very entertaining Guest Speaker, Dr. David McKenas MD MPH, who was instrumental in having all American airplanes fitted with the AED!
Dr. David McKenas, who served as Corporate Medical Director for American Airlines from 1992 to 2002. Dr. McKenas is a Harvard-trained specialist in Aerospace Medicine and literally is the person who brought onboard defibrillators (AED) to the airline industry. Optional Evening Event
A very special Optional Event: " Gentry, Gumbo and Ghosts!" was held on the evening of April 24th.
We boarded Savannah’s famous trolley, and toured some of its historical past on the way to “The Lady & Sons” restaurant. This landmark property is owned and operated by celebrity chef Paula Deen.
the delicious an d plentiful dinner was served family style at large round tables.
We returned to the hotel at 9:30 after being treated to our very own Kiwi Ghost tour.
